What are the habits of experienced travellers when they are ‘on the road’? 68 per cent say they manage to maintain their regular exercise and eating habits. 40 per cent orders room service. And only 7 per cent admits they sometime get ‘creative’ with their expense report…
The outcomes of a T+L and Fortune survey are sometimes surprising. Over 70 per cent snucks in some sightseeing between meetings on business trips, 54 per cent sometimes extend work trips for leisure. Concerning the expense report ‘creativity’: 28 per cent say scrutiny of expense reports has increased from five years ago.
Most travellers accept flying as part of the deal; 48 per cent usually enjoys the trip. Still, 51 per cent dislikes cramped legroom or lack of seat comfort – a complaint that is easily solved by booking business class seat.
The most valued hotel amenities are: in-room technology/Wi-Fi (55%), room comfort/design (54%), loyalty program (41%), late check-out/early check-in (33%).
