Eindhoven Airport powered by 1,708 solar panels

Eindhoven Airport was already a frontrunner in the use of solar power, but now it has taken another bold step. In recent years, large number of solar panels had been installed on the terminal roof, but now the airport is adding another 1,068 panels.

With this further investment in solar power, Eindhoven Airport is showing its commitment to sustainability, International Airport Review reports.

With the total of 1,708 panels, the airport aims to generate a substantial rate of renewable energy to help power their terminal operations. The new panels will be installed on the roof by June 2023. The amount of self-generated energy will increase from 200,000KWh per year to 590,000KWh per year.
